Short answer
Once all 18 trait points are spent and you meet the gear and cash requirements, Prestiging resets the Operator's traits and adds one random permanent Pro trait. An Operator keeps at most 3 Pros.
What you need first
- All 18 trait points spent.
- The gear and cash requirements the game asks for. Our sources don't list the amounts yet.
What resets and what you keep
- Your trait picks reset. Prestiging is also the only way to respec, apart from dismissing the Operator.
- You gain one random permanent Pro trait.
- An Operator keeps 3 Pros at most.
Pro traits
A Pro is an upgraded version of a Major. Twelve have been named so far. Each card in the atlas shows its effect and links to the Major it upgrades:
- Possum Pro, Quick Fix Pro, Viper Sense Pro, Adaptive Restock Pro (Warfighter)
- Overwatch Pro, Thermal Padding Pro, UAV Upgrade Pro, Field Crafting Pro (Scout)
- Free Revive Pro, Die Hard Pro, Impact Smokes Pro, Numb the Pain Pro (Survivalist)
The Prestige system itself is in the official guide. The Pro effects come from one source so far: Game Rant (Oct 27, 2026), as cited by DMZTracker. Numb the Pain Pro's reported wording matches the base trait, so what it adds is unclear.
Known issue
DMZTracker reported on Nov 3, 2026 that Activision lists a known issue: Prestiging sometimes takes the required gear without granting a Pro trait. We haven't confirmed whether it's fixed.
